Why I cannot help but love Alex Knight, the Casanova!
So the other day when I was getting ready to send another round of review requests, an email popped up. It was from a male friend of mine who so kindly agreed to read my debut romance novella “Always You”. Apart from his generous review, he asked me one unexpected question, “But Shilpa, how can a woman love Alex? He is a Casanova.”I mean, what? Does he even have to ask that? Hello?
For me, Casanova’s are made by women! If there were no women hovering around them, there would be no Casanovas. Not that I like to hover. Er…I am married. But really. We have always loved them right from the original Casanova. Of course, not all Casanovas. To be specific, we love the redeemable Casanova. Like Alex Knight. Who has a heart and is just waiting for the right person to steal it. Who has secrets and is ready to bare it all but only to the right woman.
Most of all, I think this is why I love a Casanova:
1) Women love a challenge: And when it comes to tying a hot, wayward man to them forever, all batteries are charged full! Men like Alex Knight look tough, unattached and totally unaffected by anyone. There is no warmer feeling than the fact that of all the beautiful women that our Casanova dated, only one is special and that is you. That is their most important redeemable quality – they are capable of love. They just need to meet the right woman and that is of course, you. For Alex, it was Lyla. After that, well, he could never see another woman.
2) They are extremely charming: They say just the right thing at just the right time! Who wouldn’t fall for that? And guess what? They even listen to you when you want to babble and drown in tears. Now we all know how often that happens with our men in real life. So, who could blame us for falling for that, eh?
3) There is always a secret: Yes, that is the cardinal rule. A man cannot be that hot, charming with all attitude without having a secret and there is no greater motivation to a woman than unraveling that! Come on, we are curious species and there is nothing wrong in being curious about a hot man. None. Nada.
4) They are hot!: Now, I would say that’s the most important thing but well, that’s just me! Casanovas whether they are very good-looking or just plain good-looking are HOT!! It is their charm, confidence and attitude combined that make them so irresistible. And they are sizzling in the bedroom too. In Always You, Alex Knights is irresistible in that department. At some places, he literally left our poor heroine Lyla panting!
So, do you love your Casanovas too? If you do, you might enjoy knowing Alex Knights in my book. No, you no more have the challenge of unraveling him or seducing him because he is totally in love with Lyla. But you would enjoy the hot chemistry between the two and a sweet tale of how deep love can go even for a Casanova.

Shilpa Mudiganti Mirza grew up making up stories in her head. Starting with innocent babbling, genre of her stories changed with lessons growing up teaches us all. She thought life would be all about her stories until she completed her technical degree. Security of an IT job lured her leaving her stories to continue brew up in her head.
