Follow Friday # 42

Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?

Hmm, I think A Discovery of Witches or The Night Circus. Both were books that I thought could make good movies and yet both could go badly wrong if handled incorrectly. They are films I'd love to see, but I'd be holding my breath at the same time in case it all went to pot.

    Lovely answer! I think as long as the author has a voice and participates in the decisions needed for the movie, the movie will turn out fine.

    I haven't read either book though after today I'm pretty sure I have to read The Night Circus, and A Discovery of Witches.. I have heard of it but don't really know if it's something for me. Have you reviewed it? :)
