Follow Friday # 52

Q: What is the BIGGEST word you've seen used in a book lately - that made you stop and look it up? Might as well leave the definition & book too.

To be honest, I can't think of one in a fiction book. I have a pretty good vocabulary and it would take something really obscure to catch me out.

In non-fiction, however, I just read a book called The Horologicon by Mark Forsyth (review coming in a couple of weeks' time) which looks at words that we no longer use. Naturally, a few of those I had not come across.

  2. I have to admit I don't look up words very often, and after I look them up, I tend to forget what they were to begin with, just sort of absorb them.

    Have a great day, Nicki!
