Book Blogger Hop # 35 / Follow Friday # 56
Which do you prefer most: a printed book or an Ereader?
I actually read about 50/50 these days. If it's a book I know I want to keep forever and reread, I'll get print (even if I read it in e-copy originally), but e-books are great for trying new authors and for review copies via NetGalley.
What books have you given other people lately?
Well, I recently gave a late 2nd Xmas gift to my manager (he spent too much on my gift, so I had an urge to get him something extra than the bottle of wine I'd already given him). I gave him A Place of Greater Safety by Hilary Mantel - a book I really love and thought he'd enjoy too since he likes her two Wolf Hall books.

Great answer on the kindle vs. print. I love both.

NetGalley is the reason I bought my Kindle Fire. I didn't think I'd love it as much as I do, but I do really like it and use it regularly.

I agree meeting new authors is easier on an ereader. I've found a couple awesome authors through the sale or free evokes that I might not have picked up in a bookstore. My answer is at Is It Amazing
ReplyDeleteI like the Nook my aunt gave me for ARCs and some self-published books. I do prefer print books but am reconsidering for giveaways where I don't get ARCs because the e-books are ckeaper.
ReplyDeleteGreat pick, that's a gift I would like to receive. Thanks for stopping by earlier. Oh and to answer the question, I have to agree that it is 50/50 for ebooks or print. Have a lovely weekend. :)
