In the magical underworld of Victorian London, Tessa Gray finds her heart drawn more and more to Jem, while her longing for Will, despite his dark moods, continues to unsettle her. But something is changing in Will - the wall he has built around himself is crumbling. Could finding the Magister free Will from his secrets and give Tessa the answers to who she is and what she was born to do? As their search for the truth leads the three friends into peril, Tessa's heart is increasingly torn, especially when one of their own betrays them... (Goodreads Synopsis)

I enjoyed Clockwork Prince even more than the first book. The characters were now familiar, as was the world they live in, and so I could lose myself completely in the story.

I appreciated the growing relationships between and development of the main characters and I found the story arc captivating and more engaging than most second books in a series.

I am now excited to read the third and final instalment before moving on to the Mortal Instruments books.

You do need to read this series in sequence, so grab a copy of Clockwork Angel first and then sit back and experience a pleasurable read.
