I put this up elsewhere on social media yesterday but forgot to share it here!
I am just coming to the end of an epic Buffy and Angel rewatch. I
already drew Wesley from Angel, so how could I resist also doing Spike
from Buffy (as played by James Marsters)? I simply adore him!
Drawn over about 5.5 hours with pencils, 8B, 4B, 3B, 2B & H.
As always, my scanner killed the contrast, so I had to fix that in PS before posting. Otherwise, as drawn.
I
still draw flat on the table, but I think I really do need to learn to
use the easel. The face proportions look exactly right looking down at
an angle, but when you look dead on, his face looks a little too thin
around the cheek on the right hand side. Meh. I must keep practicing.
Other than that, I am reasonably happy with how this turned out.
