A brief sketch of Brent Carver as Molina in Kiss of the Spider
Woman (musical), which I recently 'rediscovered'. After not playing the
CD for several years, I now have it on every day! I adore both the
character of Molina and Brent in the role (and in general).
Drawn over about 3 hours with pencils H, B, 4B & 7B.
As always, I just tweaked the contract in PS, since my scanner killed it.
As
an exercise in working to a smaller scale, I am happy with this.
However, I don't think I quite captured Brent Carver. I was amazed at
how impossible it was to find good quality images of Brent in this show
(or at all!). Considering he's a pretty big name in theatre, there's
very little relating to him online. Perhaps I'll try him again in the
future. It sometimes takes me a couple of goes to get someone right.
