Weekend Blog Hops - 14 December 2018

It's the weekend once more. That means it's time for my book-blogger hopping.

Do you listen to music while you are writing your blog posts? If so, what genre of music do you listen to?
I LOVE music. However, I don't listen to any while writing as I find it too distracting. I end up writing the words from the song, or stopping work to sing along! I do like to listen to music when I am doing other creative things, though, such as drawing or crochet. And my tastes in music are fairly eclectic, though mostly you'll find me listening to musicals, classical music, opera, or my favourite singer-songwriters such as Ásgeir or Elizaveta.

The invisible dome that encased the Dream Realm burned blue beneath my gloved hand.

From page 56:
It was selfish to want to keep him to myself when the dream put everyone around me in danger.

My Current Read
Dream Keeper (The Dark Dreamer #1)
Amber R. Duell

The Sandman is seventeen-year-old Nora's closest friend and best-kept secret. He has to be, if she doesn't want a one-way ticket back to the psychiatrist. It took her too long to learn not to mention the hooded figure in her dreams to her mother, who still watches Nora as if she'll crack. So when Nora's friends start mysteriously dying gruesome deaths in their sleep, she isn't altogether surprised when the police direct their suspicion at her. The Sandman is the only one she can turn to for answers. But the truth might be more than she bargained for...

For the last five years, the Sandman has spent every night protecting Nora. When he hid the secret to the Nightmare Lord's escape inside her dreams, he never expected to fall in love with her. Neither did he think his nemesis would find her so quickly, but there's no mistaking his cruel handiwork. The Nightmare Lord is tired of playing by the rules and will do anything to release his deadly nightmares into the world, even if that means tormenting Nora until she breaks.

When the Nightmare Lord kidnaps Nora's sister, Nora must enter enemy territory to save her. The Sandman is determined to help, but if Nora isn't careful, she could lose even more than her family to the darkness.

  3. I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to pull myself away from this one if I started it. Sounds amazing.

As for music while blogging: I don't listen to music while blogging, but if it is particularly noisy around here I will put on some white-noise style videos. I've found the sound of Arctic winds helps me keep my focus.

Artic winds sound like they would be interesting. I don't think I've ever heard a recording of that before.
