Weekend Blog Hops - 15 March 2019

It's the weekend once more. That means it's time for my book-blogger hopping.

Do you use NetGalley, Edelweiss, both, or neither?

I love NetGalley and review books from there all the time. I did get a login with Edelweiss a while back but never requested anything from there. I found the site confusing; it wasn't as well presented as NetGalley. Maybe I'll take another look at some point, but I get enough from NetGalley to keep me busy anyway.

Timeline: five minutes too late, thirty seconds from the end of the world.

From page 56:
Peter hesitates. The things he's wanted to say for five years are difficult to swallow.

My Current Read
Middlegame
Seanan McGuire

Meet Roger. Skilled with words, languages come easily to him. He instinctively understands how the world works through the power of story.

Meet Dodger, his twin. Numbers are her world, her obsession, her everything. All she understands, she does so through the power of math.

Roger and Dodger aren’t exactly human, though they don’t realise it. They aren’t exactly gods, either. Not entirely. Not yet.

Meet Reed, skilled in the alchemical arts like his progenitor before him. Reed created Dodger and her brother. He’s not their father. Not quite. But he has a plan: to raise the twins to the highest power, to ascend with them and claim their authority as his own.

Godhood is attainable. Pray it isn’t attained.

    1. Yeah, I found searching through stuff hard. NetGalley is much more user-friendly. Only just started Middlegame late last night, so too early to make much commentary yet.

  11. There is not much in the beginning and 56 passage, but the settings sound really interesting and catchy.
