Reading Recs - Six Books that Reimagine Folklore

In today's infographic I share my favourite six books whose stories reimagine folklore.

Rumplestiltskin gets a novel twist (with a good dollop of other folklore thrown in) in Naomi Novik's Spinning Silver.

Russian folklore provides the basis for Katherine Arden's gorgeous Winternight trilogy.

Irish folklore and the idea of changelings create problems for the characters in Hannah Kent's The Good People.

Meanwhile, Icelandic folklore weaves into the narrative of Sjón's From the Mouth of the Whale.

Finally, journey to the Caribbean with Karen Lord's Redemption in Indigo.
