You're spending a night in a haunted house. What book would you bring with you?
I'm not sure the fact that it's a haunted house would make any difference regarding my book choices. I would take either a current read or a favourite read (depending on what I was most into at the time). Perhaps I'd avoid anything scary, but then I don't read a lot of horror to begin with.
Opening sentence:
Everyone has a nightmare.
