Written by #1 New York Times bestselling author V.E. Schwab, Extraordinary expands deeper into the world of Schwab's critically acclaimed novels Vicious and Vengeful.

Torn from the world of 'Vicious', where death is not the end, only the beginning of extraordinary powers... T
hree new "EO"s must grapple with their new abilities... and with those who would hunt them down!

Vicious is one of my favourite books, so I was keen to see where V.E. Schwab would take things as she moved the world and characters into a new medium. ExtraOrdinary was a quick (25 mins for me) but enjoyable read that visualised certain moments we already knew from Vicious while also introducing new characters and action. The story moved at a good pace, but there was still enough introduction to the characters to give them life. The artwork, too, was appealing and well done. While I still prefer the novel format of Vicious and Vengeful, I would continue reading more graphic novels set in this world too, if V.E. Schwab continues down that road. As a note, I would suggest reading Vicious before picking up this graphic novel. There's enough info you could still follow the story coming to it fresh, but having knowledge of Vicious first will greatly enhance your enjoyment of ExtraOrdinary.
