Honed from childhood to be an elite assassin, Sook-hee embarks on a rampage of violence and revenge to finally earn her freedom and escape her past. (Synopsis)

The Villainess was an enjoyable action thriller. I liked the opening sequence, where we saw the fight scene through the heroine's eyes, almost like we were playing her in a video game, and the action levels stayed high through the movie. Kim Ok-bin gave an excellent performance and there was enough plot to hold my attention through the breaks in the fighting; although, once or twice I felt a bit of fight-scene-fatigue towards the end. If you like high-level action movies you'll probably find this movie a worthwhile watch. It gets 3.5 stars from me, which I will round up to a four.
