Period Drama

In the Joseon period, a noblewoman from a powerful clan marries the Crown Prince but is deposed after only seven days as queen when he becomes king. (Synopsis)
Queen for Seven Days was, overall, a pleasing period drama. There were some high and low points in the pacing, and maybe 18 episodes would have been sufficient, but after each slow moment, things would pick up and regain my attention again. It was also quite a tearjerker at times, so have a box of tissues to hand if you watched, especially from about the three-quarter mark.Interestingly, I didn't take much to the 'hero' and I wouldn't have chosen him if I had been the girl, but maybe that's just me. It's a sumptuous period piece, though, and is sure to please fans of the genre. It gets 4 stars from me.
