Frankly Speaking was a rom-com that started strong with a quirky plot and fun, memorable characters whose interactions I enjoyed. It fell down a little in the final four episodes, though, when the comedy was set aside in favour of melodrama. I was still invested, but the change in direction lost some of the spark that had first endeared the show to me. Despite the writing letting it down towards the end, though, this was still an enjoyable series that caught my imagination, so I am still giving it 4.5 stars.
