TV Review: Sweet Home S3 (2024) (Horror)

Sweet Home (μŠ€μœ„νŠΈν™ˆ)

As humans turn into savage monsters and the world plunges into terror, a handful of survivors fight for their lives — and to hold on to their humanity. (Synopsis)

The third season of Sweet Home was okay, but it was a bit of a disappointment compared to the earlier two seasons. The writing was uninspiring, the pacing irritating, and too many unnecessary side stories muddied the main plot. I'm not sure if Song Kang wasn't available as much, but he was vastly underused in this season compared to his importance to the story since the start. The effects were still good and the ending was satisfying enough, but it did finish with some questions still unanswered, and I wished they'd put a little more time and thought into the script, pacing and editing. I am still giving it four stars, as it provided a conclusion to what was previously a good show, but it was a bit of a let down.
