Joy, Sadness, Anger, Fear and Disgust have been running a successful operation by all accounts. However, when Anxiety shows up, they aren't sure how to feel. (Synopsis)
I had enjoyed the first Inside Out film, which I thought had a lot of depth and heart, so I was keen to see what this second installment had to offer. Overall, I wasn't disappointed. While it perhaps didn't have quite the impact of its predecessor, it was still an engaging and relatable story that was both entertaining and thought-provoking, and it was interesting to see how the new emotions developed as Riley hit puberty. The animation was high quality, as you'd expect from Pixar, and the pacing of the story worked well. I am giving it four stars.
