Gyeongseong, 1945 — and Seoul, 2024. A pair adrift in time fight for survival against monsters born of human greed. (Synopsis)
My husband and I finally had time to watch the second season of Gyeongseong Creature. Overall, I thought it was a good continuation from the first series. The action has moved from 1945 to the present day, which gave more scope in which to work. The way in which this leap was effected worked well, as did the mix of old and new characters. The effects still looked good and the pacing of the series was nicely handled, cutting down from the ten episodes of season 1 to seven in season 2, but having them all a bit faster paced, with less exposition now the basic premise is already established. All up, this was an entertaining watch and the second seasons gets 4.5 stars for me. Recommended to fans of creature tales, but make sure you watch season 1 first as you need to do so to make sense of season 2.
