TV Review: Romance in the House (2024) (Melodrama-Romance)

Romance in the House (가족X멜로)

Melodrama-Romance

After his business crashes, a man disappears from his family for 11 years. But when he makes a return as their wealthy landlord, a messy reunion ensues.

Romance in the House was a mostly enjoyable family saga. Its strongest points were that the scenarios presented were not too outlandish despite the show being a melodrama, and thus the basic premise of the tale was believable throughout. This helped the emotions feel real in a show that was mostly character driven. I was certainly rooting for all the main characters from start to finish and wanted to see everyone's jobs and romances work out. It's a show I was happy to watch but not one I could ever envision myself desperate to re-watch. Therefore, I am giving it four stars. It was a solid series and I would recommended it to fans of rom-com with a touch of family melodrama.
