Demon City was a fairly average action movie. It wasn't appalling, and it entertained, but it also had a lot of flaws. The most notable of these was the hero's ability to withstand attacks that should have put him out for the count if not killed him. When the hero in such a story has some sort of supernatural power, you can overlook this, but when he's just an average human (albeit with martial arts/combat skills) it is completely unbelievable. The fight scenes were nicely choreographed and interesting, which was a plus, but the acting was pretty lacklustre throughout. I am giving it 3 stars overall. It was by no means unwatchable, but you need to be ready for 90 mins of unrelenting violence and be prepared to suspend your disbelief for most of the run time.
